Product Photography

Good product photography is vital if you are trying to show of something you are trying to sell. Getting the right shot can be vital for any company.

White background

Some shots look better with a white background, but these days companies are turning more and more to ‘lifestyle’ based shots.  Both styles are available depending on requirement of the client.

Preferences

Personally I prefer the outdoor style shot. It’s has more of a dynamic look but is notoriously harder to capture as you have to deal with what light the weather throws at you. For me that provides a challenge, and when a great shot comes back it all seems worth while.

I started out shooting products after getting a full time job in the marketing department of an online cycle retailer. It can be tedious when you have a thousand small boring parts to get online, but being given a bike to get creative with does liven things up a bit.
